Victoria is an inland city in the Texas Gulf Coast region, located approximately thirty miles from the Gulf of Mexico.  It is the county seat of Victoria County and home to a population of approximately 111,000 people.  Victoria's humid subtropical climate makes it ideal for the outdoor sports and recreation that are popular in and around the city.  There are twelve parks located within the city, including Riverside Park situated on the banks of the Guadalupe River that features fifteen baseball fields, volleyball courts, exercise trails, hiking areas, nature and jogging trails, picnic areas, and playgrounds.  It is also home to the Texas Zoo and Riverside Golf Course, the largest 27-hole golf course in the area.  Lake Texana and Coleto Creek Reservoir are popular destinations for boating and freshwater fishing.  Salt-water fishing is also within striking distance in the Gulf of Mexico fifty miles to the southwest of Victoria.

Experience the history of Victoria with a visit to the historical downtown area.  The Victoria County Courthouse built in 1892 is an excellent example of Romanesque architecture.  St. Mary's Catholic Church was designated a Texas Historical Landmark in 1965 and is an impressive neo-Gothic structure.

The cultural arts are alive and well in Victoria.  Theater Victoria offers productions from July to May in the Leo J. Welder Center, which features performances of the Victoria Symphony Orchestra and the Victoria Ballet, as well.

If you enjoy shopping, you won't be disappointed with the many opportunities afforded by the city of Victoria.  There is an excellent mix of specialty shops, one-of-a-kind boutiques, and antique stores in the city, as well as the Victoria Mall, located just ten minutes from the downtown area.

Victoria is a great place to live where opportunities abound for work, play, and relaxation!
