About Ganado, TX - Happy to be your hometown Heating & Air Conditioning Contractor!

Proud to serve the Ganado community!

Ganado is a city located in Jackson County, Texas thirty-two miles northeast of Victoria and ninety miles southwest of the city of Houston.  Originally called Mustang Creek, Ganado was established with the coming of the railroad to the area in 1882 and by 1914 was a thriving town whose livelihood revolved around the rice mill and storage facilities that were located there.  Today, Ganado has a population of approximately 2,000 people.  With a humid subtropical climate, the city enjoys mild summers and winters, with highs ranging from the mid-eighties to the mid-nineties during the summer months, and lows dipping into the mid forties and fifties during the wintertime.

Devers Park is perfect for family fun and a relaxing day outdoors.  The park features picnic areas, playgrounds, baseball and softball fields, a basketball court, two fishing piers, and an exercise station, as well as two nature trails that meander along the banks of Devers Creek.  For anglers, Lake Texana is located just ten miles southwest of Ganado and offers some of the best fishing in south Texas.

Brackenridge Recreation Complex in Edna is only fifteen miles from the city and features a wide array of activities and amenities, including boating, freshwater fishing, horseback riding, hiking and biking, playgrounds, a paintball course, baseball and soccer fields, volleyball courts, disc golfing, miniature golf, and picnicking.

For a glimpse into the past, take in a movie at the Ganado Cinema, which first opened in 1941.  Admission was forty cents for adults and nine cents for children, with popcorn at a nickel a bag.  It was the first theater in America to feature an all-digital, fiber-optic audio network.  The theater has been upgraded over the years for the comfort of patrons while retaining the original look and feel of the old historical theater.
